MSN indexed first
Today I began to doubt Google and Yahoo’s ability to crawl the net. MSN beat them first to index this site. It was also MSN that are constantly indexing my other sites – based on AWSTATS.
So much for the race on who’s got the biggest collection of web properties between Google and Yahoo. Behind the scene it’s MSN that’s doing it’s job quietly. I came to a realization that MSN’s bot is smart enough to find this site on it’s own, while Google’s spider is so dumb that it needs to be fed to crawl a site. Yeah, ever tried submitting your URL to Google? I did but still the spiders didn’t come. Hey, they even suggest submitting a sitemap of sorts. What’s the use? MSN’s bot just found it’s way here even without those ardous process of creating a sitemap.
Maybe I should change my browser’s default page from Google to MSN. Google has just given a lot of fuss for the past years they have grown. They have something like sandbox, penalties, and all that bullshits people there can think of. How’s that for a search engine that can’t even find it’s way to a website?
