Getting Hired
The company I applied for as a PHP Developer called just before noon today. They wanted me to visit the office. I was to told to wait for the boss who is miles away to login to YM – or Skype – to have a chat with me. I stayed in that office for 2 hours and was told to go home because the boss migh have forgot the appointment. The OIC manager who was sending feelers of me being hired assured to give me a call tomorrow. Despite me being not yet officially hired I still feel so happy. I’ll be working again. This time I’m working on something I love.
Even with that little glimpse of success that the feelers I gathered, I’m very happy. Being someone who’s gone so low that I got no respect for myself, this is huge improvement. How low did I went? Imagine me pawning my mobile phone for measly $10 just to get me through the day – or two. If I don’t find a job, pretty soon my beloved PC will go too. I would then have no way to blog. I would then have no way to code. It’s the rough equivalent of death to me.
Tomorrow is another day to reckon with. I just hope the OIC manager won’t change her mind. I badly needed a job I’d work for a dime just to put food in my stomach. Question is: If I don’t have anymore money, how the hell did I afford to be online and blog about it? The answer is I’m using other people’s connection for free – with permission of course.
